5 Shaving Myths Busted

Posted by on 8/5/2016 to Pubic Shaver
While we are glad to see that some responsible beauty writers correctly state that shaving is the cheapest and safest form of hair removal - scraping a naked razor blade over your skin is not the right way to go. A razor blade causes shaver rash, skin dryness and ingrown hairs.

An electric shaver like Bare It All - USD $ 46.98, with a good foil design and user skill, can really shave as close as a blade, without the blades touching the skin.

This is how!

When wet shaving, water is absorbed by osmosis into skin cells making them swell. The skin becomes puffy and rides up the hair shaft concealing the base of the hair shaft, so that no razor blade can reach it. You will have seen this effect when you stay in the water for a time and your skin becomes wrinkled. Once the skin cells dry out and deflate, the base of the hair is again revealed. This is why many incorrectly think shaving causes hair to re grow thicker and faster, even though this is biologically impossible.

When switching to using an electric shaver, it is necessary to STOP wet shaving with razor blade as this flattens hairs against the skin. An electric foil shaver needs hairs to stand up away from the skin, poke through the holes in the foil, in order to cut them. The foil design lifts hairs from follicles and cuts very close at skin level. However it takes a week or so for any electric shaver to provide a shave as close as a blade, as well as a different shaving technique.
